This week you will see news headlines and social media commentary about arms imports and exports around the world, all based on SIPRI’s new arms transfers data.
Our arms transfers data is part of what has made SIPRI a go-to resource for governments, journalists, researchers, diplomats and civil society groups for the past 60 years. The SIPRI Arms Transfers Database is the world’s only open access resource providing the depth and breadth of coverage on this crucial topic. It was visited more than 150 000 times last year.
This does not come for free. Although the SIPRI Arms Transfers Database can be considered a global public good and is maintained by only a small, dedicated expert team, funding it is a recurring challenge.
Your donations can help keep this invaluable resource available to all.
