The SIPRI Yearbook: Informing the global conversation since 1969

On 8 June, SIPRI launched the latest edition of our flagship publication SIPRI Yearbook 2026: Armaments, Disarmament and International Security, along with our latest data on the size of the world's nuclear arsenals.
Since 2011 we have pre-released the most in-demand datasets from the Yearbook over the year. Each release generates major news coverage and starts conversations around the world. Here are the press releases for each of the Yearbook 2026 data launches:
The top 100 arms companies (December 2025)
International arms transfers (March 2026)
World military expenditures (April 2026)
Multilateral peace operations (May 2026)
World nuclear forces (June 2026)
Your generous donations help us to keep producing the SIPRI Yearbook and carrying out the kind of rigorous research and analysis that has made it an essential resource for diplomats, policymakers, journalists and researchers for more than five decades.
